Encona Canadian Maple Chilli Jam Bangers and Mash with Maple Onion Gravy
A twist on a iconic dish!

Pre Heat Oven, to moderate to high.

Wash, peel and chop your potatoes into equal size pieces.

Place in a pan of cold water, bring to the boil and simmer until soft.

Whilst the potato’s cook, place the sausages in a thick bottom pan and brown on all sides over a moderate heat.

Remove and place in oven proof dish and place in oven to fully cook. You can use an air fryer if you prefer.

In the same pan as you cooked the sausages add the butter and sliced Red Onion and cook gently until softened and caramelized.

Add half of the Encona Canadian Maple Chili Jam and stir until combined.

Add 150ml of Water to the onions along with gravy granules and bring to boil, stirring continuously.

Once the potatoes are cooked pass through a “potato ricer” or use a masher to make your mash.

Once your sausages are cooked turn the oven up to full, coat the sausages in the rest of the Encona Canadian Maple Chili Jam and allow to become sticky.

Portion out you mash into the centre of a plate place sausages on top and spoon over the Encona Canadian Maple Chili Jam Onion Gravy.

Add some butter and milk to your potatoes for extra creamy Mash.

- Sausages x 4-6
- Potato’s for Mashing x 500g
- Large Red Onions – Thinly Sliced x 2
- Gravy Granules - 2 tsp
- Butter x 25g
